At Tarmac Works, our passion for motorsport runs deep, and our journey into the world of GT3 racing reflects that dedication. From crafting meticulously detailed 1/64 scale models of iconic GT3 cars to actively participating in the racing scene itself, we have established a unique connection with the world of GT3.
In case you’re new to this, Group GT3 racing is the adrenaline-fueled heartbeat of modern motorsport, mixing high-octane speed with a dash of automotive history and a whole lot of drama. The regulations and homologations for Group GT3 were prepared by the FIA and came into effect at the start of the 2006 season, turning road-legal supercars into race-winning monsters. Today, GT3 has evolved into a global phenomenon where icons like the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Audi R8 LMS, and many more great machines go head-to-head on legendary circuits—from the treacherous Nürburgring to the adrenaline-fueled Bathurst. It’s a motorsport enthusiast’s dream—a wild, close-quarters scrap featuring some of the coolest, most recognizable cars on the planet, all fighting for glory under a carefully tuned balance of performance. Whether it’s a nail-biting sprint race or a grueling endurance marathon, GT3 delivers pure entertainment, showcasing the raw passion, skill, and engineering excellence that make motorsport so addictive.
As one of the pioneering brands to bring the GT3 trend into the 64 scale modeling scene, we have since never stopped to introduce new GT3 toolings in our 11 year history. We have produced GT3 cars from 8 different manufacturers, totaling a whooping 17 toolings and well over 200 different versions with over 800,000 units sold in total. In fact, 6 out of our top 10 sellers of all time are GT3 cars! For the 2nd half of this year, we are introducing another 2 new GT3 toolings: the Ford Mustang GT3 and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 so be sure to keep tabs on our Instagram page for an announcement soon.

The first 1/64 GT3 model in our HOBBY64 lineup was released in August 2016—a 1/64 Audi R8 LMS in Gold AAPE Camouflage that won the GT Asia 2016 Okayama Round.
Our involvement in GT3 cars go beyond only making their replicas. We have been actively engaged in sponsoring motorsports teams with our own original livery designs to compete in some of the world’s most prestigious races that includes Bathurst 12h, Macau Grand Prix, Suzuka 1000km and others. Back in 2022, we took a bold step by bringing Hello Kitty into the historical Macau Grand Prix. And in the 3 years following it, we brought along the adorable Kuromi and Cinnamoroll as well which were highly sought after by the race spectators. The 2025 Cinnamoroll themed Audi R8 LMS Evo II race version model has become our all time best selling which was a testament to the popularity of the models combined with an attractive design.

The result of our collab with iconic Japanese anime franchise Future GPX Cyber Formula-the No.30 Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II from Uno Racing Team features the eye-catching livery designed by the anime's original creator and machine designer Shoji Kawamori. Raced round the Guia Circuit in 2024, it was a sensation for many fans and the 1/64 scale models were an instant hit.
