We've moved our base quite a few times around Hong Kong in the past decades, from a street level garage space to co-working offices. It’s amazing to think that we are now settled in our 3000+ sq. ft. headquarters with a proper display we are proud to show everyone that visits us.
Our office is a little bit different than your usual offices. Upon arriving at our door, you are greeted by an art wall decoration with the Tarmac logo sitting in the middle. Made up by fitting over 400 1:64 scale cars onto the wall, the art wall is our way to tell everyone what we do best without saying a word.
Stepping inside, you will find 7.5 meters of our display corridor, decorated with nearly 1000 model cars and more than 100 collectible cards, along with 3 uncut sheets of Tarmac Cards straight from the factory.
Moving over to the meeting room, the rear wing taken from the 2022 Macau Grand Prix Hello Kitty Audi R8 GT3 evo II that sadly crashed in the race weekend sits above the display wall. Now it makes a unique display piece overlooking our meeting area and acts as a reminder to us that any race can change just in a split second.
We want to extend our openness and love for fun in the overall design of the space. That’s why we have chosen the Island-style open-plan workspace for our team to work their magic. Surrounding the team and a constant tone over the space is a mild and fun yellow-and-blue 2 tone colour. With every member decorating their own space to their style and taste, many of course picked diecast cars and collectible cards as the centerpiece that accompanies them at work.
As our team size expands, we are filling up the space quite quickly. Perhaps in a few years you will see us in another new environment. But until then, this remains the perfect hatching ground for new ideas to be turned into collectible realities.
